About Disket

A messenger for useful conversations.

Disket explores what can happen when the best parts of a conversation are allowed to persist, travel, and remain useful.

01 — What is Disket?

A focused messenger with a publishing layer.

Disket is designed for niche communities, groups, circles, and communication contexts where a differentiated workflow can matter. It does not need to serve everyone or race to match every feature offered by larger platforms.

Messaging is the foundation. The publishing layer is where useful messages can take on a longer life.

02 — Why another messenger?

Useful information moves quickly—and often disappears.

Messaging is already a mature form of communication. It is immediate, familiar, and effective. But the pace that makes chat useful can also bury thoughtful notes, recommendations, explanations, and community knowledge.

Disket explores the boundary between a conversation and something worth publishing.

03 — Messaging first

The everyday utility stays at the center.

The product direction begins with private chat, groups, and channels. Planned basic message types include text, replies, contacts, attachments, voice, and location. These describe the direction of the product, not a claim that every capability is publicly available today.

04 — Echo

From useful message to persistent content.

Echo is the current working name for Disket’s first major differentiator. The idea is simple: a message created during a conversation can be published by its author as a more lasting public piece.

An Echo might become a public note, a community update, an announcement, a short article, or a recommendation. The exact experience is still being shaped.

05 — Product principles

Deliberate progress over feature racing.

Useful before massive

Start with a real purpose for a focused group of people.

Focused, not complete

Build the right workflow instead of collecting features.

Sustainable development

Grow at a pace the product and organization can support.

Independent foundation

Keep meaningful control over the product’s core infrastructure.

06 — Current direction

Disket is under development.

Backend and Android development are the initial focus. Capabilities will be released incrementally, and additional platforms may follow as the product and organization mature.

No public release date is being promised at this stage.
